About Us
At footworkz we offer classes for children aged 18months to adult in a variety of styles including; toddler and me, ballet, tap, modern, jazz, contemporary, street, acro, gymnastics and musical theatre. Keep scrolling to see what each class is and how to book a space in any of our classes.
Modern Dance
Modern theatre dance is a rhythmic dance style which originated in America before travelling all over the world. It is often seen on the stage in musical production because of its theatrical qualities. It uses travelling sequences, high kicks, leaps and turns with a strong focus on strength and flexibility.
Contemporary dance
This class is a favorite among many of our students. Everyone loves the opportunity to explore the new dance moves taught in this class, while also mastering the classic moves. This class requires students to experiment with their movements and their emotions connected to the dance theme.
Tap dance
An oldie, but a goldie! Tap focuses on rhythm and sounds and derived from the jazz tradition. We offer tap classes to all ages and abilities and students can take exams too.
Street dance
Street dance has quickly evolved since diversity won Britain’s Got Talent! Street dance is a broad name and covers all these genres; whacking, locking, house, hip hop and breaking to name but a few! Join us in our street classes to learn more!
Jazz dance
This class is a favorite among many of our students. Extremely energetic and good fun too! Great for working on your energy, flexibility and performance. Ideal for those wanting to keep fit also.
Ballet dance
The foundation of all dance styles. Ballet will build your strength and technique and work your muscles in ways you never thought! Ballet is a must for those wanting to pursue a career in dance.
Gymnastics / Acro
this class is brilliant for building core strength and flexibility. It is also great for learning new skills and abilities to give you an extra edge in performances.
Musical theatre
This class is for those wishing to pursue the stage and screen life. We focus on singing and acting through song. Working on technique and pushing our natural abilities.

Classes held at The Rayleigh Megacentre, Brook Road, SS67UT and Thursdays at Club Woodham, South Woodham Ferrers.
